The ability to create tasks links, sort by a number of parameters (even tags, assigned to, priorities, due date, and group by any of these) is just ridiculously good. I’ve tried a number of task managers from Asana to Wrike to Todoist to Wunderlist. The others are pretty good too, but they don’t let you create list the way you need them, and with so many parameters.
BUT…. if you use Evernote, then this is an absolute no-brainer. I love Evernote and have thousands of notes there and capture so much stuff from quick notes, to LinkedIn web clippings to video and Word attachments to whatever. And while Evernote excels in the ability to have a mini-Dropbox kind of feel inside of every note which is way beyond anything out there, it really falls short in the task management department. Their reminders set up just doesn’t appeal to just getting things done. Tap on reminders in Evernote and a whole unsorted jumble comes out — too much stuff to look through.
DISCLAIMER… Remember the Milk is still sorting things out with regards to the type of Evernote link that they capture. This means that for right now, even though you assign a task to another user, the other user won’t be able to open the Evernote link … unless they are logged into your account (!). This is a technical issue that they need to resolve and work closely with Evernote. However, for single use, this is not a problem and a superb solution.
